LegalFix is not a law firm
LegalFix is not an attorney or a law firm and is not licensed to practice law in any state or jurisdiction. LegalFix does not provide legal advice, legal opinions, or legal representation, and does not employ or engage attorneys to advise you. No person you communicate with at LegalFix is acting as your attorney.
Attorney-drafted documents that you complete
The documents available through the LegalFix Document Drafter are drafted by attorneys for the law of your state and annotated in plain language to explain what each provision does. They are not generic forms, and you never start from a blank page. You select a document, a guided assistant asks you questions, and your answers complete the document you selected. You can download and review it on your own timeline, sign it when you are ready, and update it as your circumstances change.
The attorneys who drafted these documents are not your attorneys
The attorneys who drafted and annotated the LegalFix documents did so for LegalFix. They are not your attorneys. They have not reviewed your situation, your answers, or your completed document, and no attorney-client relationship exists or will exist between you and them. That an attorney drafted a document does not mean any attorney has advised you about whether that document is right for you, whether you have completed it correctly, or whether you need something else.
What you are responsible for
LegalFix does not review your answers for accuracy or legal sufficiency, does not decide whether a document is appropriate for your situation, does not draw legal conclusions, and does not apply the law to the facts of your case. You decide which document to select, what information to provide, and whether to sign, deliver, record, file, or rely on it.
You are responsible for reviewing every document before you use it and for meeting any signing, witnessing, notarization, recording, or filing requirement that applies to it. These documents are not a substitute for an attorney licensed in your state.
Finding a lawyer
Choosing an attorney
For matters that require a lawyer, LegalFix can help you formulate search terms to look for one. That is the whole of what LegalFix does. Any search is run by you, in the Google search engine, which is operated by Google and not by LegalFix. LegalFix does not conduct, host, run, or process the search. LegalFix does not operate, control, or influence Google's search engine, its ranking, its algorithm, the results it returns, or the advertising displayed with those results, and cannot predict or guarantee what any search will return.
LegalFix does not maintain a list, directory, panel, or network of attorneys. LegalFix does not recommend, endorse, refer, select, match, screen, or vet any attorney. LegalFix does not pay for or receive payment for placement in any search result, and receives no referral fee, commission, or other compensation from any attorney you find, contact, or retain. LegalFix is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Google, and all trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
Any attorney profile, rating, review, ranking, or advertisement you see is published by Google or another third party, not by LegalFix, and LegalFix does not verify it. Your use of Google is governed by Google's own terms of service and privacy policy. Choosing, contacting, retaining, and paying an attorney is entirely your decision, and your relationship with that attorney is between you and that attorney. LegalFix is not responsible for any attorney's advice, acts, omissions, fees, or results.
Not insurance
LegalFix is not insurance
LegalFix does not insure you, does not indemnify you against any loss, and does not pay or reimburse legal fees, costs, or expenses. Because LegalFix does not provide insurance, it is not regulated by your state's department of insurance, insurance commissioner, insurance administration, or insurance division.
The information on this site is general information, not legal advice
Everything published on this site, including legal topic summaries, articles, videos, statutes, rules, and regulations, is provided for general information only. It is not legal advice and should not be relied on as legal advice.
Legal advice must be tailored to the specific legal and factual circumstances of your situation, and can only be given by a licensed attorney who has been briefed on those circumstances. The law differs from state to state, changes over time, and is subject to interpretation by different courts.
No attorney-client relationship and no confidentiality
An attorney-client relationship is never created by reading this site, by using the Document Drafter, by visiting LegalFix's social media pages, or by communicating with LegalFix's support and customer service teams.
Communications with LegalFix are not protected by the attorney-client privilege, are not attorney work product, and are not confidential in the sense those words carry in an attorney-client relationship. Do not send LegalFix information you intend to be privileged. If you want confidential legal advice, speak directly with an attorney you retain.
Technology
How LegalFix uses artificial intelligence
LegalFix uses software, including artificial intelligence and large language models, to help identify document types and legal information topics that may be relevant to the situation you describe and to organize and present those options to you, and to help produce some of the general legal information published on this site.
Artificial intelligence does not perform the work of a lawyer and does not exercise legal judgment. It identifies and organizes information; it does not advise you. Anything produced with the help of these tools can be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, and may not fit your situation. Use it to better understand the law before you speak with a licensed attorney, not as a replacement for professional legal services. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any such output before relying on it.
Communications with LegalFix may be recorded and analyzed
Your communications and interactions with LegalFix, including telephone calls, chat sessions, email, your inputs to the Document Drafter, and your activity on this site, may be recorded, transcribed, stored, monitored, and analyzed by LegalFix and by service providers acting on LegalFix's behalf.
Section 5 of the Terms of Service describes this in detail, states the purposes, and explains how to communicate with LegalFix on a non-recorded basis.
No warranty, and no reliance
LegalFix does not represent, guarantee, or warrant that the information published on this site is accurate, current, or complete. To the fullest extent permitted by law, LegalFix assumes no responsibility to any person or entity that relies on information published on this site and disclaims all liability arising from that reliance.
Your use of this site and the information on it is at your own risk. The Terms of Service state the full disclaimer and the limits on LegalFix's liability.
Agreements
Terms that apply to this site
Our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and these Disclosures apply to this site.
You do not become a party to the Terms of Service by visiting or browsing. That agreement is formed only when you click a button or check a box stating that you accept it, which happens when you create an account, purchase a document or a document bundle, or enroll in, renew, or continue access provided through an employer or another organization.
Whether or not you have accepted the Terms of Service, the following apply to your use of this site: the acceptable use rules and the intellectual property, disclaimer of warranties, limitation of liability, and governing law provisions of the Terms of Service, which are Sections 8, 9, 19, 20, and 25 and apply to every visitor; our Privacy Policy, which describes what information we collect through this site, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices available to you; and these Disclosures, including that LegalFix is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and that the legal information on this site is general information only.
